Year 2

A Big Thank You!

Thank you so much for all of your kind words, cards and generous gifts. We have thoroughly enjoyed teaching your children and have been so disappointed not to finish the year with them all. We wish you a fantastic summer full of fun, relaxation and a well deserved rest after all of your hard work this year.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing everybody again in September.

Happy Holidays!

Home Learning

Here are some activities and resources to assist with Home Learning whilst school is closed. Click on the Malvern Parish logos below for some ideas and challenges. The 'Suggested work for this week' link will be updated weekly so this may be the  most useful link for daily learning.

Don't forget to keep looking at the latest news bulletin below too for new helpful documents and updates.

New Photos

Have a look in the Autumn and Spring term pages below where you will find lots of photos of the things we got up to at school. It might be nice to remember your friends and all of the fab things you have achieved this year.

I will also be adding some photos of the fab things you have been doing at home in the Summer term page. If you would like me to add any of your work then post a picture on the blog. At the moment I am adding photos of your fantastic seaside scenes.

If you are happy that you know your maths target now and think you are ready to move on, have a little look on the 'Maths Targets' page below. Ask your grown up to test you and ask you lots of questions (in a mixed up order) relating to your target. If you get them right move on to the next target in the list and see how you get on. Finished them all? The 8 times table is next! How could you use facts from the 4 times table to help you?

Coronavirus Book

Axel Scheffler has illustrated a digital book for primary school age children, free for anyone to read on screen or print out, about the coronavirus and the measures taken to control it. The book answers key questions in simple language appropriate for 5 to 9 year olds.

Please click on the link to read all about it. There is a digital copy of the book above if you want to read it with your children.

A message from the staff at Malvern Parish

Thank you

Thank you so much to all of you parents and guardians out there who are doing so well supporting your children's learning. From the blog,  I can see that the children are really enjoying their learning at home and the work photographs and updates look excellent. It is a difficult time for everybody at the moment but it is so fantastic to see that the children are staying positive and having fun!

The blog is a fantastic way for the children to stay in touch with their friends, share what they've been up to at home and to stay in touch with school staff. There are some instructions above so that you can support your child to access it.

I will be regularly updating the blog over the next few weeks and the children are free to comment or ask and answer questions.
