Year 1

Here you will find all you need while we are keeping safe and learning at home.  On the Home learning link you will find all sorts of tasks and challenges for you to enjoy at home.  After Easter we will be setting Daily challenges, so have a look at the 'Suggested work for this week' link for these. A quick scroll down to 'What's New?' will tell you what we have added and where to find it.

Happy learning!

Welcome to the year 1 class page. Here you will find lots of information about what goes on in our class. You will be able to find out what we are learning, what can you do to help at home and some photos and videos of life in Year 1. Make sure you check regularly to find out what's going on!

A huge thank you to all of the children and parents in Year 1.

This year has been the strangest and very difficult - but we have made it! With just 2 days left, we wanted to say a huge thank you for your support and hard work over the last year and an enormous thank you for the lovely and very generous gifts and cards you have sent in.

Have a restful summer and lets hope and pray that some normality will resume soon!

Check out the photos from this week in the link at the top. We have had a lot of fun with our bubbles this week!

Week beginning 13 July

WARNING! You will need bubbles this week! You can make your own bubbles, or if you have some at home that is great!  Make sure you have lots of fun this week. Enjoy the bubbles! If you would like to have a go at making your own bubbles have a look online - there are lots of different ways of doing it. You could see which makes the best bubbles!

Look at the page ‘In school this week’ to see some photos of our bubbles!

There is a new video from Open the book - 'Building a house on the rocks'. Have a look on the 'Home learning' page.

Stay Safe Online

Due to the situation with school closures at the moment, children are increasingly accessing lots of their learning and entertainment online. We have talked at school about how to stay safe but if you want to discuss this further with your child or even just remind them then there are some links to have a look at below.

Taken from the Worcestershire County council website (http://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/staysafeonline)

The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) (opens in a new window) are a leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK. They have teamed up with o2 (opens in a new window) a leading internet provider to help parents to set up controls so you can limit the sites your children can access.

There is also lots of information available on how to talk to your children about online safety, knowing about the dangers of posting pictures online and what to do if they are concerned about something or someone they have seen on the internet.

There is a lot of support available to keep your child safe online. Below are some useful links to help parents and carers.
