We've had some really enjoyable maths sessions this week where we've been combining maths with geography. We've once again realised how fortunate we are to live in the UK with enough to eat, warm homes and hospitals to take care of us. We've used real census data to investigate the differences between the UK and Tanzania. First we constructed population pyramids and discussed why they were different shapes, then we compared family size and finally we graphed birth rate. Phew, what a busy week!
