We hope you all enjoyed your break and are looking forward to our final half term together in Year 3. This half term we will be learning about the Romans. We’ll be learning about the Roman invasion of Britain, the legacy the Romans have left for us, the different roles in society and some of the famous Roman emperors. We’ll be finishing our Romans topic with a look at Pompeii and how it affected the town. In English we will be reading Escape from Pompeii and writing our own Roman adventure stories. In Maths, we’ll be finishing off our geometry work before moving on to measuring weight and capacity. Our RE focus this half term will be festivals from religions across the world and their importance to believers. Our value for this half term will be perseverance and we will continue to explore our learning friends during our PSHE sessions.
This half term we will also be holding an Enterprise Week where the children will be making crafts to sell at the Summer Fair. We can’t wait to share with you what we’ve got planned. Later in the half term we will also be visited by our friends from Mabawa Primary School. We look forward to meeting them and sharing what we’ve been learning.
