Suggested work for this week

Here you can find some suggested activities for each day. Activities will be available throughout the week but will be cleared at the weekend ready for the new week. If you didn't get to finish an activity, that's fine, you can always carry it on later in the week!

Try to read everyday too! 

 

We will be doing this work in school as well, so please don't complete these tasks at home, if you are coming into school.

Can we investigate the question – Are bubbles always round?

You will need some bubble solution. You can buy some, or make some. Have a go at making the mixture using the instructions below. You will also need some gardening wire.

Make different shapes with the gardening wire, square, rectangle, triangle etc.

Pour the bubble mixture into a shallow dish and try out the different shapes. What happens?

How do you make bubble art?

Instructions

  1. Pour 1 tablespoon of bubble mix into a small, shallow bowl.
  2. Add a few drops of food colouring to the bubble mix and stir well.
  3. Place your bubble wand in the coloured bubble mix, remove and blow bubbles towards your paper.
  4. As the bubbles hit the paper and pop, they will leave interesting pattern.

OR Use a straw blow into the bubbles and place the paper over the top to create bubble art.

OR Paint/ draw a self portrait
