This week we will be looking at all things business! Throughout the week we will be creating something which we will then be selling at our Enterprise Fair on Thursday. We will be looking at production, assembly, quality control and advertising and thinking of some of the best ways to get the most out of our product! We hope to see you at the fair on Thursday and maybe we can even convince you to buy some of our lovely, handmade Easter gifts.
This week we will be learning all about Spain. We have already looked at where Spain is in the world and what its flag looks like as well as learning some simple Spanish words. We have learnt to count to 10, say hello and goodbye and ask someone's name. We also had a go at creating some artwork in the style of Picasso. Later in the week we will be tasting some Spanish food!
Our third themed week is Outdoor Adventurous Activity Week. We will be doing lots of work throughout the week involving maps and geography, working towards our Hill Walk on Friday. We'll be trying to plan a route on the hills, use map references and use different geographical skills. Look out for photos from the Hill Walk!
The second of our theme weeks this half term is Arts Week. We've been lucky enough to do lots of creative things this week and have included some photos of some them below. Jon from Eastnor Pottery will be visiting us to create some clay tiles as part of a whole school project and we'll also be playing some Boomwhackers with a visitor from Unbeatable Energy.
We'll also be using Storm by Benjamin Britten for a lot of our topic work this week and are hoping to create some pieces of art and some graphic scores.
For the first of our themed weeks this half term we're lucky enough to have lots of visitors in school. On Monday we have the History Man visiting us and on Thursday we have a circus skill workshop to look forward to. On Friday we've also been lucky enough to be invited to a Gymnastics festival at The Chase and can't wait to take part.
Keep checking back for updates from our weeks!
