Our Playground Leaders are a group of Y5 children who have been trained to organise activities for other children on the playground. They encourage children to join in games and help them to extend their friendships through purposeful play. The leadership skills that they have been taught will also help to raise self-esteem, self-confidence and encourage physical activity.

Our playground leaders volunteer their time a few times a week to support the younger pupils at play times to establish a happy play time for all children. They have received training on how to deliver different games at break time and also act as referees for football and basketball games. As well as delivering traditional playground games, the children have lots of play equipment to enjoy and help the younger children learn how to use it responsibly.
