Mrs Drinkwater, Mrs Little & Mrs Worsley
Our P.E. days this term are Monday and Friday. We will will be covering Tag Rugby on a Monday and Dance on a Friday.
Please make sure your child has a waterproof coat in school everyday as we like to get out and about as much as possible.
We have been so proud of the progress the children have made so far this year. The spring term has really seen them flourishing! Their clarinet playing is really coming along and we're sure they will wow you in our concert later in the year. We've really enjoyed exploring whether the Vikings were raiders, traders or settlers - it's been lovely to see the children developing their skills as historians. We've also been really impressed by the progress made in spellings and times tables. Thank you for your continued hard work at home reinforcing learning in these areas. We are looking forward to the term ahead and sharing lots of good work with you.
In English we will begin by reading The Great Kapok Tree and using it as a basis for persuasive letters before moving writing our own stories set in the rainforest and later using The Lorax as inspiration for poetry.
In Maths we will explore fractions before moving on to our introduction to decimals.
In R.E. we will be thinking about salvation and why Christians call the day Jesus died 'Good Friday'.
