Welcome to Year 3!
On our class page you will find lots of information about our learning in year 3 and all of the fantastic things we have been enjoying doing. Make sure that you check back regularly in case we have added anything new. Remember also to check for updates on Class Dojo. We look forward to sharing our adventures with you!
Mrs Fletcher, Mrs Ferguson and Mrs Vance
About Year 3
In year 3 we have two teachers; Mrs Fletcher who works on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning in year 3 and Mrs Ferguson who works in year 3 on a Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday. We have a full time teaching assistant called Mrs Vance.
Our PE days are on a Wednesday and Thursday. Your child will need to wear their PE kit to school on these days. If the weather continues to be warm, please remember to send in your child's sun hat and sun cream. The children are also welcome to wear shorts and t-shirt for PE instead of long trousers. Of course, as the weather starts to get cooler, joggers and a hoody/jumper would be more appropriate. You will be sent an e-mail with our swimming dates in it, but generally on a Wednesday, the children will need to bring in their swimming kit. This includes: swimsuit, towel, goggles and a swim cap if your child has long hair.
As the children are now in key stage 2, they will no longer be provided with a piece of fruit at school. Please feel free to send in two fruit/vegetable snacks that the children can enjoy during morning play, and if they want to during the afternoon in the classroom.

There is general information about different areas of learning such as spelling, reading and maths. Throughout each half term, we update the termly tabs showing you what we are learning about in each of our subjects. We will also be regularly updating the Class Dojo page so please do check.
