Orchestra club

Orchestra club is for anyone who wants to make music together. We're lucky to have lots of children in school who enjoy playing a wide range of instruments. This year we started learning an arrangement of John Adam's 'Short Ride in a Fast Machine'. It's quite tricky and is very fast but we made a good start with learning the rhythms and playing in time together. More recently, it was the Queen's special birthday and we had some visitors from Tanzania, so we learned our National Anthem and played it while the rest of the school sang - absolutely brilliant! We've also made a really good job of learning our version of 'All You Need Is Love' by the Beatles.

If you play an instrument or would like to be a percussionist and would like to join our orchestra, please talk with Mrs Allen or Mr Jukes.

These are the pieces that we've been learning (with various degrees of success!) over the last year or so:

- All You Need is Love - Beatles

- National Anthem

- Short Rider in a Fast Machine - John Adams

- Jingle Bells

- Little Donkey

- Praise Him You Heavens - Hillsong

- One Day Like This - Elbow

- Symphony No. 5 - Beethoven

- Brudenell Waltz
