It is still important to read with your child daily. They could read a variety of different things including, their school reading books, newspapers/magazines/comics, recipes and books that you may have at home. Remember that it is important to practice their reading fluency and using their story voice. It is also important to practice their comprehension skills and answer lots of questions about the text. They all have a question bookmark in their reading record book and there are some questions in the documents below too.
The children's spellings are on the spelling section of the class page. We are currently learning Spring 2 spellings and we are on Set 4. There are some ideas on the spelling sheet below for how the children might want to learn their spellings. The children also have a spelling shed log in and password to practice their spellings online.
Here are some links to different websites that have Maths resources on them. Please have a look at the year 2 Maths page for some different ways your child can practice their Maths targets, number bonds and times tables whilst they are at home too.
