We started our new topic with an afternoon experiencing what it might have been like to live through WW2. We weren't allowed into our classroom because of falling bombs and the air-raid siren was sounding. Luckily we were able to crawl into our Anderson shelter and use gas masks to keep ourselves safe. We also learned about what evacuees were and where they went. We acted out short scenes to show what we thought different people would have felt like. Some of us were evacuees, some were parents or teachers, some were ARP wardens to name just a few!
