Today we developed our music skills - we performed two Ghanaian call and response songs and learned some Ghanaian rhythms. We were really fortunate to have a visit from a teacher and some students from The Chase who came to help us learn, combine and perform some complex rhythms on a variety of percussion instruments. Some of played djembe drums, others wood blocks while some of us played the agogo bells. It was tricky to keep our own rhythm steady when surrounded by others playing something very different. However, it was a lovely afternoon of music-making and we learned lots from it. Have a look at our photos to see what we were up to!
