Contrasting cultures

Having studied the geographical features of several UK settlements, last week we started looking at a contrasting culture. Lots of us were surprised that Ghana is a country of contrasts - some people are living in swanky looking apartments in cities, while others live in traditional village huts. City dwellers sometimes own expensive cars to get around, while people living in tribes in the north of the country walk miles to find clean water. We also discussed how in some ways we live in a similar way to Ghanaian people - we all live in homes with our families, we go to school, we go shopping for food, we love playing football with our friends and lots of other things!
